The Rachel-Finn Relationship, most commonly known as Finchel, Rafinn is the romantic, (and as of The First Time, the fifth episode of Season Three) sexual, on-off relationship between Rachel Berry and Finn Hudson.
They start dating in Season One, in the episode Sectionals, but Finn breaks up with her in Hell-O. Their relationship rises up again in Journey, but ends in Special Education when Rachel finds out that Finn had slept with Santana in Season One while Rachel was with Jesse; therefore, Rachel retaliates by making out with Puck. Once again, their relationship rekindled for a third time when Finn kisses Rachel in New York. After losing at Nationals, they eventually get back together.
In most of Season 3, they do not experience many significant problems, besides getting to know each other better in order to get used to each other. In Yes/No, Finn proposes to Rachel, and Rachel says yes in the following episode Michael. In Heart, they decide to move the wedding to May. In On My Way, Rachel changes the date of their wedding to after Regionals due to Karofsky's suicide attempt. However, their wedding is cancelled when they receive the news about Quinn getting in a car accident while on her way to the wedding. In Big Brother, Finn wants to go to California to work, causing them to quarrel. With the support of Mr. Schuester, Ms. Pillsbury and Rachel, Finn tries to find his dream, but he throws all the brochures they give him in the garbage. However, with the help of Mr. Schuester, he soon realizes that he wants to be an actor and wants to go to New York with Rachel. In Goodbye, Rachel gets into NYADA, but Kurt and Finn don't get into their prospective schools. Because of this, Finn lies to Rachel and tells her that they are about to get married. However, Finn stops at the train station so Rachel can go to New York. Rachel is hesitant to go because she is in love with Finn, but he tells her "We are just going to sit here and let go. Will you do that? Will you surrender with me?" They share one last kiss before Finn 'sets Rachel free' at the end of Season 3.
In Season Four, Rachel constantly misses Finn but when she goes through a "makeover" she changes her thoughts and ways she views things and kisses Brody, not long before Finn arrives in New York. This causes problems as later, Finn and Rachel have drama causing Rachel to say that they're done, at least for the mean time. In I Do, Rachel and Finn hook-up for the night, she left while he is sleeping. She returns back to her apartment and later in the episode is seen doing a pregnancy test.
